It’s almost 4pm in the afternoon. You feel like stepping outside for some fresh air. The question is, where though?
If you live in the Bay Area, look no further than Mori Point. This coastal gem boasts not only scenic views overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Pacifica Pier, but also gorgeous sunsets during the golden hour. More importantly, you don’t need to prepare for a strenuous hike in order to enjoy the beauty. Just put on a comfortable pair of sneakers and sunglasses, and be ready to be amazed!

Tips:
- Try parking along Fairway Dr (right by the Sharp Park Golf Course; always plenty of street parking) and walk over to the trailhead. Parking near the trailhead is limited, even more so over the weekends.
- Check the weather before you go and bring a windproof jacket just in case. It can often get foggy and windy given the costal climate.
- Take the Old Mori Rd route for lesser elevation gain. There are also other trail options available: https://www.trailspotting.com/2021/07/mori-point-pacifica.html
- Bonus points: If you get to visit during late March till early May, you can also find the hills covered with tidy tips and goldfields. It is quite a lovely scene to behold!
